What to include

Please include the device brand, exact model number, light color, blink pattern, and any official source link if available. The more specific the device details are, the easier it is to verify and improve a guide.

Good examples include “NETGEAR Orbi solid purple light,” “HP DeskJet flashing orange light,” “First Alert smoke alarm blinking red every minute,” or “battery charger flashing red and green.”

Correction requests

If a page has the wrong meaning for a specific model, send the official manual, manufacturer support page, or product documentation that shows the correct light pattern. We prefer source-backed corrections over guesses, forum screenshots, or copied manual text.

If the same brand uses different meanings across different models, include both model numbers so the guide can be clarified instead of overgeneralized.

Guide suggestions

You can also suggest new guides for routers, modems, printers, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, chargers, appliances, car dashboard lights, security cameras, smart home devices, game consoles, laptops, and other everyday electronics.
